RE: Mississippi Industry-Wide Petroleum Waivers

Dear Mississippi Petroleum Industry Representatives,

Due to the effects of Hurricane Ida, the Mississippi State Chemical Laboratory (MSCL) and the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce (MDAC) are issuing waivers in conjunction with the US EPA waived fuel specifications to help eliminate potential supply issues.  There should be no impact on effect of the quality of fuel due to this waiver.  Therefore, the MSCL and the MDAC will allow fuel with a Reid Vapor Pressure of no more than 11.5 psi before the addition of ethanol until September 15, 2021.
